The assault caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
