Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The three finalists have been honoured for their remarkable achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a unprecedented innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.

The champion will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December.

The show will be aired from 7 PM GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the last eight and last four matches.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Later in the year, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the best young player in Europe.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"Being on the shortlist for this honour is incredible," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

The Darts Prodigy

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

The year started for Littler in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a highlight for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be shortlisted for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
